Crochet Cardigan

I’m going to keep it ‘short but sweet’….a bit like me! PAH

Is this not the most perfect crochet cardigan?  I bought it from my favourite online shop Rat&Boa for about £30.  Seriously, I love everything on their website. In my eyes, anything crochet is perfect for a festival. Its super chic and gives off that laid back, boho vibe! Perfect.

I’m off to Shaka Zulu in Camden on Friday. Surely it’s nice to venture out of ‘east’ London once in a while?

Vintage - Ombre Cardigan

There’s something really cool about vintage fashion.  Unlike trends that come and go, vintage will stay around forever.  A few weeks ago I was having a look on eBay, and came across this vintage ‘ombre’ cardigan.  I was over the moon to see that no one was ‘watching’ it so I decided to start my bidding war at 99p! A few hours later, and £5.50 down, it was mine.  When wearing vintage there are no rules…..anything goes, which suits my style down to a T!

In a few weeks….the 5th may to be precise, my friend is putting on a festival just outside London.  The theme is ‘Indian summer’ so any great ideas on what to wear, please send them my way.  I’m thinking bindis, sequins, and ganesh….hmmmm!

I decided to ‘spice’ this post up and share with you that one song I've been listening to over and over and over again.  If this doesn't get you excited for summer then nothing will. Enjoy.

Grunge

After the week I’ve had at work, I deserve to chill the fuck out and do absolutely nothing this weekend and that’s what I’m going to do!  I’m writing this post from my ‘penthouse’ suite (ha!), wrapped in a blanket, drinking a cup of tea! This is the life.

I’m determined to get as much wear out of my boyfriend jeans as possible. I decided to go for the ‘grunge’ look and teamed them with my new balance, and a checked shirt. Personally I think tying a checked shirt around your waist is big!  It’s a great style trend because anyone can try it, and if you don’t like it, you just take it off! It brings something to the overall look and instantly makes you look that little bit cooler.

I have just clicked through my latest posts, and I think I’m a little bit obsessed with hats.  This pink beanie is from Reiss and adds that pop of colour the outfit needs. Perfect.

Stay cool

Trend Alert - The Boyfriend Jean

Recently, I am seeing the ‘boyfriend jean’ / distressed denim look a lot on the streets of London.  I can see why people would call them ‘unflattering’ with their ‘baggy’ fit– just make sure you roll up the hem!  Despite this, I am obsessed with my new ‘boyfriend jeans’ and I like to think I know how to treat them, keeping it simple but adding some spice with my ‘Iridescent’ brogues!  If like me, you prefer to dress like a boy, this ‘tomboyish style’ is perfect.  If not, add some heels and a crisp white shirt – both look equally as good.

So what do you think? Boyfriend Jeans – Yes or No?

Lastly, I added my vintage ‘peaked’ cap which I bought down Brick Lane for about £8.  If you didn't know already, the ‘peaked cap’ is the latest ‘must’ have accessory, and brings that ‘sporty’ yet ‘chic’ vibe to any outfit. What the hell is not to love?

The sun is actually out in London today so I am off to make the most of it, drink cider, take pictures, and mooch around vintage shops!

Leather and Vintage

I know, I know, another post on leather, but I just can’t help buying it…..real or fake.  Last week I took a visit to Topshop, and came across another ‘leather staple’ to add to my collection.  This black leather T-shirt dress looked so perfect on the hanger, and with a price tag of £55 (obviously fake!), it was a done deal.  I prefer to dress things down, but this dress would also work with heels and a statement necklace…what ever you fancy!

I decided to team the leather dress with a favourite of mine…the vintage flannel shirt.  This was taken from my boyfriend’s wardrobe, but if you get yourself down to any vintage shop, you are sure to find one at a reasonable price.  With the festival season about to start, I think a flannel shirt should be on everyone’s shopping list.

Anyways, I am back to work tomorrow after a looong weekend in the Lake District. I don’t think I’m ready for a 12 hour day at work. Please help me.
